Another great pod to mix in with your leaf litter! The fruit of the Calotropis gigantea plant, this is a stellar botanical to replicate the tropical stream biotope, where these types of materials accumulate on the substrate.
When incorporated into your biotope, they're perfect for providing foraging areas for fish like Tetras, Dwarf Cichlids, and catfishes, as well as for ornamental shrimp, which will pick at them as they soften and decompose. They're about 2.5"(6.35cm) in length, and 2" (5.08cm) wide on average.
PREPARATION: We like to boil them for at least 20 minutes, in order to saturate them and cause them to sink.
ORIGIN: Southeast Asia/India
