SELECTIONS INSPIRED BY THE VIBRANT ISLAND OF BORNEO...
The island of Borneo is a literal center of evolution and distribution of numerous life forms. Its rain forests are estimated to have been in existence for almost 140 million years making them among the world's oldest. The aquatic habitats of this amazing island range from deeply tinted, botanical-choked forest streams to the famous, highly endangered peat swamps, and rapidly-flowing rivers.
Many amazing fishes, ranging from Rasbora to Gouramis to Bettas, and more, reside there, not to mention, fascinating, highly sought-after shrimp. The variety of unique habitats and ecological niches offers the aquarist an opportunity to replicate some amazing habitats, and to keep some of the world's most beautiful and interesting fishes!
This curated selection includes both materials which hail directly from this region, as well as some other botanicals which are representative of the botanicals you might find in the amazing fresh waters of Borneo.
