If you keep ornamental shrimp, you're going to LOVE these leaves!
It's long been known that Mulberry leaves provide carbohydrates, fiber, and essential nutrients, such as phytosetrols, which are essential to shrimp for optimum health and reproduction. Unlike many of the prepackaged Mulberry products out there, these are typically largely intact leaves, not broken pieces of leaves. That being said, they WILL, indeed often arrive in fragmented condition. They're not a good choice for leaf litter, but they go a long way to serve as a supplemental shrimp food, either directly, or as a "substrate" for biofilm production!
Mulberry leaves are surprisingly nutritious supplemental foods for shrimp, as they're packed full of vital nutrients, like Vitamins B1, B2, B6, and Vitamin C, as well as carbohydrates, fiber, amino acids, and elements such as Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc, Iron, and Calcium!
Ours are from the Morus indica tree, found throughout Malaysia and Southeast Asia, and have a delicate, beautiful color and thin tissue. They're freshly collected and carefully cleaned, boiled, and dried. They have no preservatives, pesticides, or pollutants. Just pure, carefully handled leaves.
Origin: Sandakan, Sabah Malaysia
PREPARATION: To feed to your shrimp, we recommend rinsing them in very warm water, then simply drop them in the aquarium, or fasten them to a rock or piece of wood. Your shrimp will go crazy for these!
