Veilfin Tetra- (Hyphessobrycon elachys) - Group of 6 specimens

With its elongated dorsal fin and distinctive black spot on the caudal peduncle, the metallic-looking Veilfin Tetra is an unusual and uncommon "collector's characin!" Hailing from Brazil's Rio Paraguay, the neat little fish are outstanding for the a well-researched biotope aquarium!

Also known under the common name, "Reed Tetra", these are lively, interesting little fish. Ours are hardy and well-adapted to captivity, and eat really well! Neutral to slightly acidic water and "typical" tropical temperatures of 77-80 degrees Fahrenheit suits them fine!

It's a peaceful fish that does well in a group, which is why we're offering them that way! Our specimens are healthy, active, and feeding well at Mike Tuccinardi's facility before they leave for your aquarium!  They average approximately 0.75" in length, and are perfect for small to medium sized aquariums. We have a very limited supply of these uncommon tetras, so when our supply is gone, we may not have them again for some time.
