Is it the invigorating scent? The warmth? The rich, earthy flavor? What is it about coffee which so completely captivates our senses?
As botanical-style aquarium enthusiasts, we're inspired by all things earthy, organic, and tinted. And what better way to start a day than with a great cup of coffee? It's become a sort of ritual for us...really part of our lifestyle.
From day one at Tannin, it's been a goal of ours to offer products that go with and enhance our aquatic lifestyle, and what more appropriate offering than a great coffee? Not just any coffee, mind you. Our first release, "FTO Norte- Asociacion Bosque y Agua," is the result of a months-long vetting process...It's a wonderful, flavor-filled coffee, roasted expertly by our friends at Foggy Hills Coffee Company in Berkeley, California, exclusively for us!
This is a single origin, washed, Fair Trade Organic coffee with an amazing flavor profile: Sweet, with a tart citric acidity and a full body feel. Notes of toffee, lemon and chocolate flavors. It's grown at 5575 feet in the Cajamarca region of Peru. Of course, coming from South America, it totally fits our vibe, too! And of course, it comes with one of our famous jute bags!
It comes in two alluring roasts:
DARK: This is a brash, yet invigorating roast, which awakens your senses with a strong flavor. Well balanced. Perfect for those mornings when you want to find your cozy corner, grab the laptop, and get to work...Or for those wonderful moments in front of your aquarium...a great everyday cup!
MEDIUM: If you like subtle notes that caress the palette, yielding a delightful fruitiness, you'll love this roast! It's well-balanced, without a hint of bitterness! The taste of the beans is very lively in this roast!
