Whenever we ask you, our customers, what some of the things you'd like to see from us are, almost every time, someone will tell us, "Small branches and twigs for detail work!" Yeah, there IS something about small, intricate details in an aquascape that really brings it to life!
So, we've been pressing our suppliers to grab us some not-so-tiny pieces of two of our favorite aquatic wood types, Manzanita, and Madrone. We gathered them together in good-sized quantities- enoiugh to do some good "accent work" in an average-sized aquarium, or even serve as the basis for a full-on hardscape in. a smaller aquarium!
These are nicely random little branches, ranging ranging in size from less than 2 inches (5.08cm) up to 12 inches (30.48cm) or more!
Preparation is pretty easy: Soak them for a week or more, or you could even boil the smaller ones, to get them to sink. They may recruit some biofilms as they age, which is obviously an extra benefit to shrimp and some other grazing fishes!
These are not just random branches. They're "aquascaping accessories!"
