"Estalo Pods" are smaller botanicals, ranging from about 1.25"- 1.5" (3.17-3.81cm) in length, and about 3/4"-1.25" (1.90-3.17cm) wide. They have an cool, "nut-like" outer shell and a woody interior. When randomly scattered about your aquarium's substrate, they really help you replicate the appearance of a tropical stream bottom!
We think they're best suited to "habitat enrichment" - helping you recreate a dynamic environment with their unique appearance!
PREPARATION: The best way to get these pods to sink is to boil them for at least 20 minutes. Often times, after boiling/soaking, they "close up" and look just like a submerged seed or bean- which isn't that bad- but different than what they look like when dry!
NOTE: These are a natural product, and display variation in color, size, and texture. Each pod is unique! The photo serves as a reasonable representation of what to expect.
All of our aquatic botanicals are intended for ornamental aquarium or terrarium use only. Please use common sense and take the time to boil or soak all botanicals prior to using them, to reduce the possibility of problems. Always go slow when introducing any botanicals into your systems, so you can judge the effect they have on your fishes and plants. They are not intended for human consumption. DO NOT INGEST!
