Ebita Breed "Spinach Tab" Supplemental Shrimp Food (50g package)

If there’s one thing you’ve learned about us by now, it’s that we’re pretty into those cool ornamental shrimp, like Neocaridina, Caridina, etc. And apparently, so are many of you! You asked us to find some cool foods for these little guys, and, after much research, literally pouring the world, we’re proud to offer the Ebita Breed line of foods, imported from Japan. Wildly popular in a country where ornamental shrimp are wildly popular, it’s a high-quality, premium line of foods specifically formulated by passionate shrimp lovers to provide for the specialized nutritional needs of your shrimp. It's NOT simply a re-packaged hatchery feed, like so many specialized foods on the market seem to be these days.

Spinach Tab is a newly-developed formulation from Ebita Breed, and as its name suggests, it’s derived mainly from organically-grown Kumamoto spinach, although it does include ingredients such as soybean powder, fish meal, and seaweed as well. It’s packed with naturally-occurring iron, as well as a full suite of vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, folic acid, and the carotenoids Beta-Carotene and Lutein. The naturally high chlorophyll content of the spinach provides beneficial antioxidant properties, and the bioflavonoid Quercetin helps boost the immune system of ornamental shrimps. Spinach Tab contains more than 25 kinds of nutrients, 18 types of amino acids, 10 vitamins and 13 minerals! This is powerful good stuff! A boiling procedure during processing of the food reduces the negative impact to the shrimp from the Oxalic acid found in spinach.

Spinach Tab is also eagerly accepted by a variety of herbivorous fishes, in particular, the notoriously tricky-to-feed Otocinculus catfish, many Plecos, and Barbs. It’s a useful food to have around the fish room, and it’s easy to use form factor is terrific! We use this as an occasional “treat”, or supplement to other foods, such as Ebita Breed’s Hinomaru Bentou, a couple of times a week.

All in all, we’re pretty certain your shrimp  and herbivorous fishes will LOVE this carefully formulated food. Although it comes in a relatively small wafer-like form, somewhere in between the size of Jo Hinomaru Bentou and Quatro2, you’ll still probably want to crush it up a bit to make it easier to feed to small shrimp and herbivorous fishes. The only down side” to this product, if you will, is that the label on the package is in Japanese, so you’ll probably want to refer to this web page if you have any questions about the product.  It comes in a resealable 50 gram package, which may be kept in a cool dry place for up to 6 months after opening.
