This is a beautiful, woody-textured botanical, which is durable, unique, and very long lasting. In fact, we know of one hobbyist who's had them in an aquarium for over two years!
"Ebano Pods" range in size from approximately 3 to 4 inches (7.62. to 10.16cm) in length and .75 to 1 inches ( 1.90 to 2.54 cm) wide.
Despite their hard exterior, they give off a respectable amount of tannins when submerged, so you're getting a nice combination of aesthetics, durability and "tint capability" in one cool package!
PREPARATION: They take about 30 minutes of continuous boiling in order to sink. We typically will let them soak overnight in some fresh water afterwards to really waterlog them before adding them to an aquarium.
ORIGIN: Texas, U.S.A
