In the two years since we introduced it, our "Mixed Leaf Media" has become one of our most popular products! You've used it- like we do- for everything from enriching planted aquarium substrates to a "reactor media" to a supplemental food source for shrimps. You asked for a larger "crush size"- and here it is!
This mix is a bit different than our "original formula" Mixed Leaf Media, which is a mix of whatever we happen to have in abundance at the time. This stuff was formulated by one of our trusted suppliers in Malaysia, and is a consistent mix of Catappa, Guava, and Banana leaf.
The "crush size" of "MLM2" is is significantly larger than it's namesake original version. This makes it a really interesting material for many of the same uses as the original version, but with some cool aesthetic possibilities as well...Oh, and did we mention that shrimps go crazy for it?
PREPARATION: Prep "MLM" like you would any of our other leaf products, with at least 10-minute steep in boiling water, or an overnight soak in freshwater, followed by a quick rinse.
All of our aquatic botanicals are intended for ornamental aquarium or terrarium use only. Please use common sense and take the time to boil or soak all botanicals prior to using them, to reduce the possibility of problems. Always go slow when introducing any botanicals into your systems, so you can judge the effect they have on your fishes and plants. They are not intended for human consumption. DO NOT INGEST!
NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION
NOTE: Due to natural variations of leaves, each one will appear different. The photo is a representation of what to expect.
